A matrix model for plane partitions and TASEP
نویسنده
چکیده
We construct a matrix model equivalent (exactly, not asymptotically), to the random plane partition model, with almost arbitrary boundary conditions. Equivalently, it is also a random matrix model for a TASEP with arbitrary boundary conditions. Using the known solution of matrix models, this method allows to find the large size asymptotic expansion of plane partitions, to ALL orders. It also allows to describe several universal regimes. On the algebraic geometry point of view, this gives the Gromov-Witten invariants of C with branes, i.e. the topological vertex, in terms of the symplectic invariants of the mirror’s spectral curve.

A matrix model for plane partitions
We construct a matrix model equivalent (exactly, not asymptotically), to the random plane partition model, with almost arbitrary boundary conditions. Equivalently, it is also a random matrix model for a TASEP-like process with arbitrary boundary conditions. Using the known solution of matrix models, this method allows to find the large size asymptotic expansion of plane partitions, to ALL order...
متن کاملRecursive structures in the multispecies TASEP
We consider a multi-species generalization of the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) with the simple hopping rule: for α and βthclass particles (α < β), the transition αβ → βα occurs with a rate independent from the values α and β. P. A. Ferrari and J. Martin (2007) obtained the stationary state of this model thanks to a combinatorial algorithm, which was subsequently interpret...
متن کاملQueueing process with excluded-volume effect.
We introduce an extension of the M/M/1 queueing process with a spatial structure and excluded-volume effect. The rule of particle hopping is the same as for the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP). A stationary-state solution is constructed in a slightly arranged matrix product form of the open TASEP. We obtain the critical line that separates the parameter space depending on wh...
متن کاملSpectral gap of the totally asymmetric exclusion process at arbitrary filling
We calculate the spectral gap of the Markov matrix of the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) on a ring of L sites with N particles. Our derivation is simple and self-contained and extends a previous calculation that was valid only for half-filling. We use a special property of the Bethe equations for TASEP to reformulate them as a one-body problem. Our method is closely related...
متن کاملPhase-plane analysis of the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process with binding kinetics and switching between antiparallel lanes.
Motor protein motion on biopolymers can be described by models related to the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP). Inspired by experiments on the motion of kinesin-4 motors on antiparallel microtubule overlaps, we analyze a model incorporating the TASEP on two antiparallel lanes with binding kinetics and lane switching. We determine the steady-state motor density profiles using ...
